Ecuadorian Civic Front
With the aim of presenting a new way of doing politics, one that is not only active during election times and that makes contributions both in the legislative arena and in the project of the next Government, the Ecuadorian Civic Front was presented.
The project arose after a group of citizens, including Alfonso Ortiz Cobo, Executive Director of the Mochica Sumpa Human, Eco-Environmental, and Cultural Rights Corporation, formed an electoral observatory for the first round of voting. However, the response they received from the authorities was not what they had hoped for. “We got tired of observing and decided to take action,” says Francisco Huerta, who leads the initiative at the national level, along with his team.
“We warned at the time about the authoritarianism and corruption of the political project that governed the country, we do so again now and we hope that the population takes into account the danger that Arauz's candidacy represents,” said the Ecuadorian Civic Front.
