Observers in the National Assembly
At a meeting held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the National Assembly, Alfonso Ortiz Cobo, Executive Director of the Mochica Sumpa Human, Eco-Environmental and Cultural Rights Corporation, was present as a transparency observer thanks to the invitation issued by the Oversight and Political Control Commission of the National Assembly in relation to the State's trial against Pablo Celi (former State Comptroller), who stated: "that there are groups interested in taking control of the Comptroller's Office.".
The presence of Alfonso Ortiz encouraged the issue to be presented with the utmost transparency. Following the meeting, there was a discussion with the Attorney General of the State, Diana Salazar, and the president of the Commission for Oversight and Political Control, Fernando Villavicencio.
